Welcome to the Ambiance Global Review June '07 edition!

In response to many of our clients requesting communications of travel ideas and specials we have decided to create a monthly newsletter to fulfill that need. Each 2 page issue will feature travel ideas, tips, an Experience Highlight, news from the office and a special vacation offer. If you have a comment, trip review or travel tip you would like to share with other Ambiance Travel clients please email us. We are always happy to share new ideas! Like wise, if you would like us to highlight a specific destination in future issues please let us know. There is a good chance our other clients would also like to hear about it. We hope you enjoy the Global Review and find it an enjoyable monthly read.

                                                   Sincerely,

                                                           James & Nina Van Harn

 Experience Highlight
Our Experience Highlight of the month is jewelry shopping in St. Thomas. A literal jewel of the Caribbean this island is not only breathtakingly beautiful with its tree covered hills, red roofed shops and homes, turquoise waters and white sand beaches it is also a goldmine of fabulous jewelry shopping. Many mainland US jewelry stores purchase their merchandise directly from this island. Shopping here is like cutting out the middleman and going strait to the source. Precious gems (especially diamonds) can be found for about 1/3 the price found in the States.(Often your saving can pay for your trip!) Shopping from store to store is a great experience. The thrill of the hunt! In the end you not only have the joy of finding a great piece, you walked around a great little town with stone alleyways, friendly people and great weather. Plus, what better way to wait for your new gem to be ready to wear then laying out on the beach!

Our recommended store: House of Rajah. A little place on a side street where I found a great deal on my new diamond ring! Just ask for George.

 News from the Office

We are very excited about the many new developments that have been taking place here at Ambiance Travel. While on maternity leave this past year Nina spent many hours evaluating past client reviews and suggestions. She also spent many hours taking new training courses and compiling a list of travel
providers that offered the best service and value to you, our clients.

Because of a bug crawling in and exploding in the office computer (yes, a real insect) James spent most of January and February keeping the office up and running until a replacement was purchased. Thanks to his expert back office skills none of our data was lost.

Our latest project is designing a new website. When completed this summer you will be able to access past and present newsletters, specials and our list of preferred travel suppliers. In the future we hope to add an Explorer’s Forum where you, our valued clients can post trip reviews and ask questions

Our newest employee, Evalynn Ann joined us Feb.24. She is a future travel consultant in training and sheds new light on handy products for family travel.

Travel Tip of the Month:
For ease of packing consider placing your clothes in large plastic storage bags available from Glad or Ziploc. Not only will this keep your clothes organized it will also maximize space when most of the air has been pushed out. Plus, a breeze for unpacking. Just throw the bags in the laundry room upon your return home!

Travel Idea of the Month

Put together a list of the top 5-10 destinations you would like to travel to over the next few years and put it in a folder. As you acquire information about those destinations you can easily slip it in the folder. When the time comes to take your next trip you will be armed will lots of ideas and useful information about things to see and do!

Looking ahead to July's issue: Experience Highlight in Hawaii and a special to South Africa!
