Note from the Office

Good things come in June, school is out and here in Michigan it is officially warm (although, who could complain about the wonderful weather over Memorial Day?!) It's a time of change, seasons, schedules everything.

Last June we changed a little by officially launching this website and are very excited to be celebrating it's 1 year anniversary. We hope that you, our valued clients, have also enjoyed it and found it helpful.

That is actually something that keeps me awake at night, do my clients find it interesting? Is it informative enough? What new things could I add? What do they really want to know about travel? I truly want my clients and readers to enjoy this newsletter and have decided to create a survey to help answer some of these questions as well as a few others. I would greatly appreciate your participation as I prepare to make this year's newsletter better than last year.

We will also be looking into new services that we can add to help assist you with your travel planning better. If you have a suggestion, I would love to hear about it!

In the mean time, I will be taking half days off this week (June 1 - 7) to start planting my garden. Another few months and we'll have juicy red tomatoes, crisp cucumbers and red cabbages as table top center pieces. I will also try and visit a few farmer's markets over the summer. The one in Holland, MI is beautiful and reminds me of the ones in Europe. I especially love seeing all the flowers and smelling the fresh breads. Followed by a picnic in the park to dine on our new found treasures makes for a perfect day. Like a mini-vacation it could be followed by a visit to a museum, dinner in a cafe and an over night at a bed & breakfast. If a long vacation is not in your travel plans this summer, consider taking a couple of these mini-getaways to shake things up a little and create fun summer memories. Not sure where to go or what to do? Give me a call or send an email and I can either point you in the right direction or plan it all out for you.

Enjoy your June!

Travel Tip of the Month
Generally, airlines have a schedule that you can follow to find the best fares. Below is a cheat sheet outline:

90 days out or more: Best pricing, flight selection and seat selections

30 days in advance: Better pricing, good flight selection and decent seat selections

14 days in advance: Still some competitive pricing to be had, limited flight selection and limited seat selections:

3 days in advance: Better than very last minute pricing, very limited flight time selection and very limited seat selections.
