News from the Office... We are very excited to announce the latest development here at the Agency. We have officially reached Commodore Agency level with Cunard Cruise Lines! This is the highest level an agency can achieve with Cunard and we are the only Commodore Level agency in the greater Holland, MI area. This has been achieved through more than 25 hours of course work which included learning about Cunard's famous history, her past and present ocean liners and what made them special as well as all of the destinations serviced by their 3 current ships, the world famous Queen Elizabeth 2© "QE2", Queen Mary 2© "QM2" and their newest ship due out this December Queen Victoria© "QV". After all of this research and learning I can proudly say I know what makes each ship unique.
How does this benefit our wonderful clients you might ask? This benefits you in several ways, you can feel confident when booking your next Cunard cruise (or your first!) that we can answer all of your questions, know the best cabins to offer you and make sure you are getting the very best value. Another reason this benefits our clients is that as a Commodore agency we can offer you more specials and perks on a regular basis. (Read about our featured special to find out just how wonderful!) We are very excited about this new achievement and will be dedicating this issue of our newsletter to all things Cunard. Whether you have sailed with Cunard before or are hearing about them for the first time, we hope you enjoy! - Nina Van Harn Ambiance Travel Ship's Registries: British © Cunard 2007

Ladies, a elegantly long, strapless, black dress can easily go from night to night by adding different jeweled jackets, colorful shawls and wraps and different colored/jeweled shoes. A travel size steamer insures everything is picture ready. Travel Ideas: One of the best gifts we can give to the next generation is the gift of exploration and broadened horizons through travel. Consider taking a grandchild, niece or nephew with you the next time you cruise with Cunard. Experiences are priceless. Did you know? Cunard has a full program for children and teens aged 1-17. Expert care and fun activities are organized by highly trained British Nannies and Counselors.

Transatlantic Crossing on Cunard Once thought of as the only "civilized" way to cross the pond, Cunard's regularly scheduled transatlantic crossings have been a tradition for 167 years. During the "Golden Age" of travel in the 1950's & 60's countless movie stars, royalty and heads of state sailed on a Cunard ship, including Princess Diana, Elizabeth Taylor and Bob Hope. Although, still popular among the jet set, Cunard's ship's wide variety of accommodations makes her within easy reach of any discerning traveler. A transatlantic journey is a one of a kind vacation, a true voyage on the only passenger ocean liners at sea. With no port stops it ensures a truly relaxing trip free of any "have to's" or "musts". You could spend the entire voyage reading out on your private balcony while listening to the waves if you liked. Or you could indulge in the many activities offered. QM2 is the only ocean home of the renowned Canyon Ranch Spa as well as to the only floating planetarium. Enjoy lectures or enrichment classes given by famous authors, historians or the like, take a ballroom dance class in preparation for the themed balls held on the largest dance floor at sea. If you have a culinary interest you will enjoy the many wine tasting and food pairing classes or enjoy a table side preparation of your entire dinner. Of course one of the most important elements of a Cunard voyage are your fellow passengers. Likeminded travelers who chose Cunard because new experiences and culture are important to them. Cunard travelers are usually friendly, interesting conversationalists who are well traveled and enjoy refinement and excellent service. Although, you will have opportunities throughout the voyage to meet interesting people, one of the best places will be the Golden Lion Pub for a pint after lunch or the Queen's Room for afternoon tea. When you arrive in London there will be no jetlag so you will be able to fully enjoy a day or two (or 6 or 7!) sightseeing London or perhaps even Paris or Edinburgh before flying home. Transatlantic service runs between New York and Southampton (London) from April-November on QM2 with select sailings on QE2 & QV. April & November sailings have the lowest pricing and most extra amenities offered, with April having the best weather of the two months. (Think Spring in Paris!) Request more information here!
Looking ahead to next issue: We will be featuring what was supposed to be this month's issue in the September issue. Experience Highlight in West Palm Beach and a Christmas Vacation Guide in place of our Featured Special.
